The Gadsden County Public Library (GCPL) is a community enriching environment with a host of services to offer community members of all types.
The Gadsden County Public Library (GCPL) has been a staple in this community since its inception in 1980. For 34 years we have been steadfast in our mission, “to serve the diverse informational and recreational needs of the people of Gadsden County, to provide quality service and programs in a comfortable setting, and to keep the public aware of these resources.” In support of this mission, Gadsden County maintains a main library, two branch libraries and a bookmobile with county-wide service. Library personnel include a paid staff of 18. The library falls under the governance of the Gadsden County Board of Commissioners.
The Gadsden County Public Library is active in promoting various programs for youth and adults in the community. In addition to providing excellent service and programs, the GCPL is a support system to the local schools and institutions of higher learning.
