Personal Development classes for students 10-12th grade to learn how to manage their temptations, learn communication, set goals and dealing with bullies, dating and love. Several promotional items are given to students as well as books, portfolios, pens, diplomas and flash drive at the completion.
Classes meet twice a week, during school hours. 10th through 12th grade students receive a grade for this class. The sessions are held during one class period in the 1st semester, and a different session is started in the 2nd semester. There are 32 lessons taught in 16 weeks. The eight areas are: learning about yourself and others, dealing with obstacles and temptations, dating and relationships, setting goals, developing a future plan, dealing with bullies, career development and communication. Students must have parent permission to participate in these classes.
